About The Class
Description
This 6-hour instructor-led course prepares caregivers, ALF staff, and direct care personnel to safely assist residents with self-administered medications in Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) in accordance with Florida regulations.
Training includes classroom instruction, hands-on skills practice, medication safety, documentation procedures, infection control, and competency validation.
Students who successfully complete the course and required skills demonstrations will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Important Student Information
Students are required to review the prep packet and complete the pre-test before attending class. Please bring the completed pre-test packet to class.
A passing score of 85% is required on the final exam to successfully complete the course.

- Eye drops and ear drops

- Medication Observation Record (MOR) documentation
