Designed for health care professionals with a basic EKG knowledge, our ACLS program creates a stress free approach to dealing with cardiovascular emergencies. We cover it all, from oxygenation and airway management to AMI recognition and the nationally recognized cardiac arrest algorithms.
The 2015 ACLS Provider Manual and online self assessment are mandatory for this course. ACLS students must complete the pre-requisites provided on page 2 of the textbook. The online self assessment is located at www.heart.org/eccstudent . The code is located on the bottom of page ii in the 2015 ACLS Provider Manual. A score of 70% or higher is required to attend the course. You must provide this certificate to your instructor before the start of class, or you will not be eligible to attend. This is an AHA mandate. There are no exceptions.
To recertify your BLS card after completing ACLS, select the “BLS Completion Course” option from the dropdown box on the ACLS registration page. This will consist of a video review and a written BLS test (Skills will be performed during the ACLS course). If attending this completion course, please refer to page 75 of the ACLS prep packet for an additional mandatory pre-test.
